On This Day….
On This Day 1993 Commandant Anne Spencer, the last Director of the Women’s Royal Naval Service retired & her post was abolished as the WRNS were integrated in to the Royal Navy. Succeeded by 1st, Chief Naval Officer for Women in the Royal Naval Service, Captain Julia Simpson.
