Miriam Denise Tod (nee Cobb)

Miriam recently celebrated her 100th birthday but was still very sharp in her mind. She met her husband, an American Coast Guard officer, during her time in Falmouth. They moved to the United States after getting married in Bath Abbey. They were the first couple to do so after the War.

Miriam remained in New Hampshire USA until her death on the 1st March 2025.

During her service, she was an MT Driver based at  RM Thurlestone, 1942-1944;    Forte 2, Falmouth , 1944-1945;    Liver Building, Liverpool; Bristol

Her daughter, Nicki, advised that she was a life long Wren member. Even her great-granddaughter is called Zoe Wren after her time with them. It was very much part of her life even at 100.

She was a valued Life Member of the Association of Wrens since joining in 1977

We send our condolences to her daughter, Nicki and her wider friends and family.
