WOW (“Wrens Out Walking”) walk as follows:

The Wrekin Walk – Saturday 1st October 2022

Meet at Wrekin Forest Glen Car park at 10am (The Wrekin Forest Glen Car Park, Little Wedlock, Telford. TF6 5AL. It is a small car park so if you can car share best to do so. Car parking fee is by card only. If the car park is full you may have to park on the side of the road, hence the early start. The walk to the top has a clearly defined path and the surface is pretty good. Its 1 1/2 miles up and obviously 1 1/2 mile back down. It’s a steady trek to the top, not too strenuous, and hopefully with good weather, fantastic views of Shropshire from the summit.

Partners and families togehter with our beloved pets are all welcome to join us on this walk. We look forward to seeing you there.

Alternative ThingsTo Do:

Places to visit.
Ironbridge – birthplace of the Industrial Revolution. Visit the famous Iron Bridge and Tollhouse(TF8 7JP).There is a nice walk down one side of the river and back. There are plenty of museums such as the Coalport China Museum and the Museum of the Gorge. Blists Hill Victorian Town is also well worth a visit.
Shrewsbury.
20 mins drive or 20 mins on train to see the beautiful medieval town of Shrewsbury. Lots of original shops and black and white buildings. Visit the castle and museum or take a trip down the River Severn on the Sabrina boat. Lots of great places to eat and drink too. Long stay car park in town centre is Frankwell Car Park.
If you are a member of the national trust, Attingham Park near Shrewsbury is also well worth a visit.
Closer – is Telford Shopping Centre, a walk from the hotel. Telford Town park if also next to hotel if you want a leisurely stroll around.

It’s sure to be a great fun weekend, a long overdue gathering for many of us and it would be great to see you there.
