Trustee

Lorraine Jobin

I joined the WRNR in January 1983 and since that time the Royal Navy has been part of my life in both a military and civilian capacity.  In 1994 I was asked to cover a gapped military post which turned into seven years of full time employment in the RN primarily based at Northwood where I was employed in various roles from fleet operations to being responsible for installing new software on ships. In 2001 I returned to civvy street and continued links with the RN as a reservist and then in 2009 I moved to the South coast where I started working as a MOD Navy Civil Servant where I am still employed today.

I have a multitude of skills including finance management, strategy, personnel management, communication, organisational and smattering of IT that I have developed throughout my career and in particular from my present role in Portsmouth Naval Base as a Business Manager for the Maritime Capability Trials and Assurance department.

I have organised many events from Mess dinners to training days and I believe I have the passion and dedication to offer to the role of Trustee to the Association of Wrens.

I would like to be part of the team that takes the association forward to be attractive to current serving members of the RN and still retaining the current membership.  I see growing membership for the future is key and that will mean change and that needs to be engaging and bring existing members on the journey.
