I joined the WRNS in 1992 as a seagoing Electronic Warfare specialist, serving in various seagoing units. As the WRNS were subsequently disbanded my service was transferred to the RN in 1993, I completed my RN service in 1997. During my civilian career I have worked in various senior roles in Sales Operations for high tech software and cloud companies gaining experience in operations management, sales, marketing and finance. Most of these roles have been for global companies, where I have learned that diversity is strength and is no barrier to camaraderie and building company culture despite little other in common than working for the same organisation.
