Virtual Walk around HMS Queen Elizabeth – Results!
AOW Edinburgh & District Branch recently held a virtual walk around HMS Queen Elizabeth – what a fantastic effort!
Despite the long nights/short days, some stinky weather and lockdown, we smashed our Branch & Friends January Challenge, collectively achieving:
- a total of 5,296,033 steps;
- an average of 254,667 steps each;
- a total of 529.6 miles;
- an average of 25.5 miles each (just shy of a marathon!);
- a total of 1,795.3 laps of the flight deck of HMS QUEEN ELIZABETH;
- an average of 86.3 laps of the flight deck each.
We had 21 participants – thank-you all for your dedication and commitment. By participating and pushing through we’ve all supported each other during these challenging times – doing something together whilst apart 🤗
Once all donations are in, our Branch Treasurer, Jennifer, will let us know the total raised and then arrange to forward donations to the Association and WRNSBT 👏
