VE & VJ Days 2020

The RBL are putting together a series of events to mark the 75th anniversaries of VE and VJ Days next year.

They are looking for Veterans from those conflicts particularly from the BAME communities.

For VE Day – this includes everything that did not happen is Asia and Japan.  This is for those veterans based around the UK.

For VJ Day they have 3 days at the National Memorial Arboretum with the main event being 15 Aug.  They will also have events in Asia and the Caribbean.

“The Royal British Legion: 75th anniversaries of VE and VJ Day

In 2020 The Royal British Legion (TRBL) commemorations for both VE and VJ Day will both bring home the scale and breadth of the service and sacrifice made by the men and women of the Second World War generation; from those serving as Land Girls on the Home Front to soldiers serving on the frontline, from across Britain, the Commonwealth and Allied nations. 

For VE Day TRBL will host 750 veterans from across the UK to be part of the national commemorations taking place in London. To apply for spaces, check eligibility criteria or for more information click here
