On This Day…

ON THIS DAY in 1944 Wren Radar Plotters Joan Ashburner & Peggy Batchelor were killed when the Albacore aircraft they were flying in crashed nr HMS Merlin (RNAS Donibristle) Inverkeithing, Fife. They are buried in the Naval cemetery in Rosyth.
