Rear Admiral Jude Terry today smashes a glass ceiling as the first female admiral in the centuries-long history of the Royal Navy.
She’s become Director of People and Training and Naval Secretary, taking over from Rear Admiral Phil Hally, following a ceremony on HMS Victory in Portsmouth.
With the depth of talent and two dozen women who are currently captains or commodores, she believes she may be the first… but definitely not the last to attain the rank… or go beyond it.
