Joined as a WRO in Jan 1987 and served in HMS Warrior (several times!), CinCfleet, ARE Teddington, HMS Tamar, RNAS Culdrose and HMS Forest Moor.
On leaving I had a varied career including Contracts Coordinator in print and magazine logistics and emergency control room dispatcher for the ambulance service amongst others. I studied for a BSc(Hons) at Plymouth University, graduating aged 40 with a degree in Environmental Science and I completed a Masters Degree in 2022 .  I have worked in the environmental sector as a Project Manager on various landscape scale projects mostly connected with rivers in the Southwest, the Peak District, Derbyshire and South Yorkshire.  I have raised a total of over £2m for various environmental projects and now run my own business as a freelance Project Manager and consultant.
